Billie Tea and Fresh Damper
After a long bushwalk, nothing is more enjoyable than a refreshing cup of traditional billie tea around the fire.
Steve's home made damper is ledgendary in these parts, and when served up with some of Deborah's bush fruit jams and conserves, a little campfire conversation and all in the perfect bush setting... well it's something you'll never forget. All that's required is a couple of hours notice, and we'll take care of the rest.

Beagle Bay Church
Beagle Bay is famous for its historic church, built during the First World War. Ngarlarn Burr or Beagle Bay was developed in the area where the Nyul Nyul people lived. It became the site of a mission for the Aboriginal people dating back to 1890. Beagle Bay is an area of many springs, hence the name Ngarlarn Burr. As the mission grew over the years, it became largely self- sufficient growing cattle, fruit and vegetables and running both a bakery and soft drink factory, supplying the Broome market. A pretty church still remains, a building constructed by the monks using hand-made bricks.
The altar inside is beautifully decorated with mother-of-pearl and other shells from local waters.

Swimming or Snorkelling at Cape Leveque
The beaches don't come much more inviting than they do at Cape Leveque, crystal blue water and pure white sands. Widely renowned as some of the best snorkelling beaches and reefs on the Dampier Peninsula, Cape Leveque offers clear, calm waters and rockpools with abundant tropical fish, making this the perfect place for beginners. Snorkels and masks are available to hire. People swim all year round and to date we have never had any problems with crocodiles or stingers in and around the swimming beach. www.kooljaman.com.au

Half Day Fishing Trips to Cape Leveque
There are many different shore fishing areas around the Cape, with some good exposed reef areas in the bay of the boat launching beach.
There is good boat bottom/drift fishing off the end of the reef system or just out past that on the tide line for troll fishing. The western side is also a good area for trolling and mackerel, tuna, cobia and sailfish are the fish that can be picked up in these areas. Barramundi are a rare catch in our local creeks due to the clarity of the water.
